This past week I had the privilege of attending a suicide prevention conference with first responders, and other mental health clinicians to learn how mentally ill persons are affected by suicide. Our keynote speaker was Daniel Amen.

Daniel Amen is an American celebrity doctor who practices as a psychiatrist and brain disorder specialist. He is the founder and chief executive officer of the Amen Clinics. He is the founder of Change Your Brain Foundation, BrainMD and Amen University.

These were one of the slides from the presentation. I learned that if you are suffering physically it affects your brain. The Amen Clinic uses spect imaging which measures blood flow and activity in the brain to help with a more accurate diagnosis. The Amen clinic take a a unique brain-body approach to treatment to heal the undying issues that cause symptoms.

If you or someone you love is battling grief, depression or loneliness this is the suicide prevention lifeline that you can call for help. In closing, don’t feel afraid to seek counseling when you don’t feel like yourself or if you're having a hard time coping.

Thanks for stopping by, while you're here check out the other stories on the site. Feel free to leave a comment or question about this topic. Also let’s stay connected, follow me on my socials.Take Care 🥰
