Thanksgiving is a couple of weeks away, and my family and I are already making plans for the occasion like most of you are that is reading this post. This time of year is very exciting for lots of reasons. Most importantly we should enjoy this day, gather around some good company,, feast and be merry. Throughout the years of celebrating and enjoying Thanksgiving I’ve witnessed some hilarious and not so funny encounterments with family and friends on Thanksgiving. I want to share some Thanksgiving Do's and Don’t that you should consider when attending your Thanksgiving gathering.
Change Your Meats: You don't have to serve a turkey because it's Thanksgiving. I know the turkey is the signature meat but there are other substitutions that are less expensive. Try roasted chicken, ham, fried or baked chicken.
Don’t overeat because you see it. Eat smaller portions to give your body time to digest the food, if you want more you can. go back for seconds. Stuffing yourself causes you to have heartburn and gas which results in you becoming uncomfortable.
Bring a dish, silverware, drinks when you attend the Thanksgiving gathering. Never go anywhere empty handed.
Be strategic when you go shopping, have your list and your recipes in mind. Think of alternatives you can use to help you save money.
In conclusion, Enjoy yourself, keep it simple, be easy on your pockets. Happy Thanksgiving To All. I pray everyone be safe and enjoy your family and friends. Gobble Gobble.
