Content Creators: Ways to Keep Your Audience Engaged
Whether you are a blogger, youtuber, a social influencer or whether you own your own podcast you should be keeping your audience engaged and you should be attracting new followers. In this business you want to renain relevant and have your followers coming back for more. As a blogger and youtuber I'm constantly finding ways to connect with others and I'm constantly learning how to better myself so I can have good and meaningful content to share with others. There are great benefits from coming behind the camera and being transparent that's why I want to share these strategies with others who love to share their story or who simply love to entertain others, also these strategies have helped me to grow my traffic on my blogging site they are:
Find something that is trendy and relevant to what's going on around you and in your community. We feel good when we are apart of something, and when we are helping others. Sharing trendy topics and personal experiences with others connect you with other people that are similar to you. We love learning from each other, so share your accomplishments and things that you recently learned. Sharing information is a great way to network, and build followers.
2. Think about what your target audience like by keeping an ear out on the talk in the streets, and by doing research. I do this by conversating with different age groups, reading different editorials and subscribing to different YouTube channels and podcast to learn what the different age-group are listening to, wearing, watching, etc. You can’t reach people if you don't have a clue on what's going on.
3. Find something that is interesting or inspiring that will help others to think. If you are an youtuber, artist, or blogger step out of your box and talk about things that light a fire under others and talk about topics that challenge others. Think about what your audience need and help them to solve their problems. You can do this by doing topics on self help tips, do it yourself projects and motivational strategies.
4. Write about or do a video on cultural events. These topics gets lots of buzz, and people love to hear your opinion about the latest award show or verzuz. If you are a blogger or youtuber you can write and talk about your views about the event to engage others to become apart of the conversation, we're like the hype man to keep the party going, and I'm here for it. Other culture events such as Music Award Shows, sporting events, BET Awards, Soul Train Music Awards, and the Emmy’s make great topics and they create a good buzz.
5. Last but not least be clever about what you are presenting. Make sure your audience is going to like it, and your topic is relevant to what's going on in the world so others can relate. You want to be relatable so you can continue doing the thing you love to do.
