If I Could Have Lunch With Anyone Dead Or Alive It Would Be….

If I could have lunch with anyone dead or alive it would be Stacey Abrams. I chose Stacey Abrams because she seems to be authentic, down to earth and she's a Southern lady like myself. Stacey Abrams is an American politician, lawyer and author who served in the Georgia House representatives from 2006 to 2017. She was the first African American female major party gubernatorial nominee of the United Ststes. In February 2019, she became the first African American woman to deliver a response to the state of the union address. ( www.wikepedia.com).

I’m intrigued with her drive, hardwork, what she has accomplished, her passion for civil rights, her dedication to her community. She reminds me of a modern day Mary McLeod Bethune. Stacey Abrams puts her passion in assuring that the political system is fair for all people. She shared that she owed 54,000 in Federal back taxes and held $174,000 in credit card and student loan debt. She paid the IRS incrementally on a payment plan after she deferred her 2015 and 2016 taxes, which was helpful in helping her family with their medical expenses. (www.wikepedia.org)

The more I learn about Stacey, and other women like her, this motivates me to want to take a stand instead of sitting back and wondering what can I do. If I could have lunch with Stacey Abrams I would ask her these questions.1. What was it like for…

The more I learn about Stacey, and other women like her, this motivates me to want to take a stand instead of sitting back and wondering what can I do. If I could have lunch with Stacey Abrams I would ask her these questions.

1. What was it like for you as s child growing up in Mississippi and Georgia with both parents being ministers?

2.What did your parents allow you to do for fun as a teen?

Did your parents prepped you into becoming a leader and what were some of the things they taught you?

Who were your childhood friends and what are they doing today?

What goals did you set for yourself ?

How satisfied are you with your life?

What would you tell others who wants to work in the political field or who wants to make a difference in their community.

I’m not alone in this I know there is someone that you wouldn’t mind having lunch with dead or alive that you admire and you want to ask them questions. Please share in the comment section who that person would be. Like my page on Facebook Bloggingwithapril. Follow me on Instagram and Twitter Bloggingwithapril.
