How to Make Your Own Face Scrub
I must admit I love wearing makeup. I wear makeup to cover my minor blemishes and to give me a little enhancement. I exfoliate my skin at least twice a week to remove dead skin, oils. and dirt that’s trap under my skin.
After I exfoliate I feel the difference in my face and my skin feels refreshed. Before I learned to make my own exfoliator I spent lots of money on different facial cleansers because at the time I felt it was the best thing for me.
Last summer I went to my teacher training, and after one of our trainings they pampered us with a spa, a manicure and they taught us how to make exfoliators. It was simple all they used were :mason jars, a tiny wooden spoon, olive oil, sugar, and essential oils. The scrub was fun to make to , it smelled good and it made my hands feel soft. That spa class gave me the idea of making my own facial scrub. As I was googling I came across www.hgtv.com .
On the website there are different types of exfoliators and DIY steps on how to make them. Before you begin making your scrub you need all of your ingredients such as: coconut oil, sugar, essential oil of your choice and a mason jar or a container and food coloring ( optional) to store your scrub in. These are the four steps:
Step 1. In a bowl , mix together 1 cup of coconut oil and 2 cups of granulated sugar. Mix until it turns grainy. You can add more sugar or oil depending on how thick you want it.
Step 2. Add 40-50 drops of essential oil of your choice( you can find essential oil at Walmart)
Step 3: This is optional you can add 1 drop of food coloring to give it a little color
Step 4: Scoop the mixture into a Mason jar or a container of your choice.
That's it you have your own homemade scrub that is safe to use on your face, I recommend that you exfoliate your skin no more than twice a week because you do not want to dry out your skin. You can go on YouTube to see how to apply a facial scrub. Another added benefit to this project Is that you can use them as party favors, Mother's Day Gifts, Teacher’s Appreciation, and Christmas Gifts. O.k. guys that’s all I have for now.
