Great Fertility Foods For Women and Men
Hi I feel like it was imperative for me to write this blog because I often hear on social media reality tv shows and listening to others talk about their struggles of getting pregnant. Some people that have this issue are fortunate to use fertility and IVF treatments which starts at 11,000, but the average working nine to five persons may not be able to afford the treatment.
If you have fertility issues there are some things you can do on your own to boost your fertility. First and foremost the power of prayer can change anything that is out of your control. You may want to start looking at your lifestyle and begin making some changes.
Doing things such as cutting down on carbs, eating more fiber, swapping protein sources, adding a multivitamin, getting active, relaxing, cutting caffeine intake, checking your iron levels, and avoiding alcohol just to name a few things can help boost your fertility.
Now I will like to share with you some tips on some foods that will help boost your fertility and also some foods you should limit or avoid.
Make sure half of your plate at every meal is composed of fresh fruits and vegetables. Juicing with kale and other greens with a few fruits like gogo berries that contains phyto chemicals are beneficial for fertility.
Chicken, turkey, pork and beef are great sources of protein, zinc, and iron.
Cold water fish like salmon, canned light tuna and sardines have excellent source of DHA and omega 3 fatty acids.
Beans, nuts seeds, and tofu is low in calories. Beans are super sources. Studies show that infertility was 39 percent more likely in women with the highest intake of animal protein.
Cut back on dairy intake. A high intake of low fat diary has been shown to raise the risk of ovulatory infertility.
Cut down on sugar. Sugar can throw of your blood sugar and create issues with your insulin. Lay off of fruit juice, energy drinks, sweet teas and sodas. These things have been associated with ovalatory infertility.
In closing there are a lot of great resources to help you to incorporate different foods in your fertility diet. If you are dealing with infertility I hope this was helpful and will put you in a right direction to getting fertiile. Also I suggest that you speak to an OBGYN for consultation. Resources such as Parents.com/getting pregnant and Infertile.com have great information on infertility.
