Classroom Project: Oreo Dirt Cup; The Gummy Bear Edition
Hello guys, today my students and I are making oreo dirt cups. Instead of using gummy worms we are using gummy bears. I like to go against the grain sometimes. Often times I teach my children to be original as well. I call this activity can you find the bear? This is a fun edible activity for the children to make themselves. This activity teaches the children how to follow multi-step directions.
Before we begin the activity I make sure we have all the materials. such as: cups, gummy bears, spoons, wipes ( for hands), and chocolate pudding) I explain to the children what we're about to do. I make mine first to model the activity for the children to see how it is done.
The children put some pudding in the cup
The children crush up some oreos and put the crushed oreos into the cup.
They repeat steps 1 and 2 to create layers.
They add the gummy worms on top of the layered chocolate pudding and oreos.
Voila, they have a dirt cup they made all my themselves to enjoy.
