Helpful Morning Routine For The Working People
I decided to blog about the benefits of having a morning routine. This topic was placed on my heart to write because I have experienced struggles with waking up and getting my day started. My struggle stemmed from not getting a full night rest, lack of preparation the night before. How you wake up matters. If you wake up mad, grumpy, distracted, disappointed, disorganized it can affect your day.. When I prayed and made some changes my mornings got a whole lot better. In this blog I will share with you some helpful morning routines for the working people.
. My mornings start with
Prayer
Drinking Water
Watching A Spiritual Podcast
Taking Care Of My Hygiene
Writing In My Journal
Creating A To-Do- List
Engaging With My Family
A morning routine is your daily anchor, helping you take proactive control of your day rather than reacting to external chaos. It boosts mental clarity, lowers stress, and establishes positive momentum by conserving your energy for important decisions and establishing a healthy baseline (www.nami.org).
Studies show that 80% of people check their phone within the first 15 minutes of waking. This habit can result in triggering stress responses and inability to prioritize tasks throughout the day. In fact, those who check their phones in the morning may suffer from decreased productivity. I've started this thing that I pray first before I read messages and reply to comments on Facebook. I noticed I was slipping on my prayer life, I was getting caught up on Facebook monetization, and monitoring my views. I was making social media an idol. I was finding myself getting upset with other people post on my timeline I became upset when I notice family members not engaging with my post. I was really becoming distracted and it was affecting me negatively. God began to convict me about my behavior. Lately I've been proactive on not allowing social media to rule over me. My morning routine and having a prayer life has been helping me to get out of emotional ruts.
Drinking water immediately after waking up rehydrates your body from overnight fluid loss, boosts cognitive function to help clear "brain fog," and stimulates digestion to kickstart your metabolism. It is an easy, foundational habit that sets a healthy tone for your entire day. Ive learned this from my doctor. I have my Stanley cup filled with water by my bedside. I make drinking water a priority after waking up.
Simultaneously, I pray and write down things I want to manifest in my life. This is sacred to me and I feel empowered when I pour good words into myself. It is what you say to yourself and what you believe about yourself that matters. Staying empowered and having strong mental resilience will get you through your day.
Lastly,, engage with your family in your household. I love sending my daughter off to school happy and positive. I want my daughter to feel confident, assured and love. My daughter and I recite affirmations, quote scriptures from the bible together. I know school can be challenging and I want my daughter to be well prepared to handle her day.
