My Weekend At Treasure Island Florida 🏝
My husband planned a trip to Treasure Island , Florida for my 42nd birthday. This was my first time flying and vacationing in Florida. This was a very exciting trip, and I was anticipating this trip for an entire month. This was our first time traveling since the pandemic and I was READY.
We flew from Charleston, S.C. to Tampa, Florida. Tampa ‘s airport was small but beautiful, just enough for me being that this was my first time on a plane. At the time I was more excited for the plane ride itself than the actual vacation.
My husband and I took a selfie on the plane before take off. I wanted to sit at the window to see all the excitement. It felt weird taking off and it was cool to see how miniature the buildings looked in the air. It was super dope looking at the clouds and the other planes in the air.
The flight was an hour and 45 minutes. It was pouring down raining when we arrived in Tampa. I got soaked getting off the plane. My feet were wet and my body was cold. When we arrived at the airport we took a shuttle to baggage claim and to get our rental car. I was thankful that my husband flew several times in the past which made the experience smooth for me.
After we got settled in our hotel, we went out for dinner and drinks. We ate at Bubba Gump. We had a variety of seafood delicacies.
The next day my husband and I drove around Treasure Island and we drove to Tampa to the Intentional Mall. The mall comprised of a mixture of low end and high end stores. There were restaurants and bars on the outside and lower level of the mall. The atmosphere was great. As you can see above I had a variety of choices. The food was delicious, and I was stuffed.
After dinner and shopping, my husband and I went to a wine tasting and did more exploring of Treasure Island. I love riding to take it all in and to experience different things from what I'm use to seeing everyday. The city is beautiful and there were other tourists enjoying the city as well. My husband and I decided to walk on the beach to take some photos and to experience the Gulf of Mexico.
More Selfies, I can't help myself, why let this beautiful dress go to waste and not to mention all of this beautiful scenery. Honestly, I would love to own a yacht or boat one day to go on a quick day trip to Florida or just to enjoy the weather and the ocean.
Our last day at Treasure Island, my husband and I planned a dinner cruise on the Calypso to cruise around Treasure Island and to do some last minute exploring the city. While we were driving I decided to make a video of the bridge opening and closing. I'm a county girl and where I grew up, I didn't get to experience this, which is why I have an interest of traveling to different places to experience new things to share with others.

My husband and I boarded on a two hour dinner cruise on the Calypso.
Pictured above are photos we took on the cruise. The cruise was so refreshing and this motivated me to do things like this more often. The atmosphere was amazing and the music was catchy. There was lots of dancing, chatting and just good old two hours of fun. At the end of the cruise it began to rain, everyone quickly moved downstairs inside of the boat and we kept the fun going until departure. My birthday trip to Treasure Island was amazing. This made we realize how deserving I am and I need to travel more often. This was dope and I will say this I WILL BE BACK !!!!!
