We take pictures to make a statement and to impress others. I personally love great quality photos and if your photo rock why not share it. Let's be honest every photo I see down my timeline and Instagram account doesn't stand out simply because something is missing, the photo is overwhelming, the lighting is off, the background is dull, the person's makeup and hair is not together and the wardrobe is lack luster. If we're posting pictures on social media we have to put some creativity and quality in our photos.

Before you take your picture to share on your social media think about what you want to convey. Some of us have heard the statement, “ a picture is worth a thousand words.”. Many of us are working on starting a brand, rebranding, or marketing, so ev…

Before you take your picture to share on your social media think about what you want to convey. Some of us have heard the statement, “ a picture is worth a thousand words.”. Many of us are working on starting a brand, rebranding, or marketing, so everything we post on social media such as a photo, a quote, and a product should stand out to get the attention it deserves.

I will be sharing six different tips that I and other social media influencers use to make our photos pop.

Take a photo by the pool on a nice sunny day with your nice swim wear, sunglasses, viser or flip flops. Also you can take a picture smiling with your feet in the water.

2. This is one of my shots from my birthday photo shoot last year. The theme of my photo shoot was, “ City Girl" I wanted to show different pictures of me at different venues. I did a wardrobe change and I took pictures in downtown Sumter at Swan Lake, and in front of the shops on Main Street. I wanted to give that out and about fun vibe city feel. When you do a photo shoot come up with a theme and choose your wardrobe accordingly, also choose the background that goes along with your theme so it can make sense. Using props can make your photos stand out.

3. Take a picture of you embracing nature, and the beautiful scenery. These pictures can be used as profile pictures, flyers, your wall paper on your phone, computer or other devices. Also these pictures will make great wall pictures for your home.

5. Take a fun, non traditional family photo. Sharing family photos on your social media shows the softer side of you and that having a family still exist. People love to see the whole family enjoying life together. Family photos speaks having unity and it gives hope to people who are looking to one day to get married and start their own family. A great non traditional photo scene will be a Christmas photo in pajamas or matching t-shirts, ugly sweaters at home wrapping presents or baking cookies. Make your family photos pop, get some off guard photos at family functions, birthday parties, or family vacations.

6. Take some before and after photos. Your after photo should pop and outstage the before picture. In your after picture you should wear something stunning, have on makeup with lipstick, some nice heels, and a really cute hair do. Go over the top if …

6. Take some before and after photos. Your after photo should pop and outstage the before picture. In your after picture you should wear something stunning, have on makeup with lipstick, some nice heels, and a really cute hair do. Go over the top if you have to because you want to make a statement. The idea behind the before and after picture is to show growth and evolution. Post your before and after picture side by side and add a catchy caption like, “ Don't be pushed around by the fears in your mind. Be lead by the dreams in your heart.” Another great caption is “ Do not fear failure, but rather fear not trying.”

My final thought is pictures should convey a message and tell a story. A great edited photo can sell your products, boost your brand, and expand your networth and networking opportunities.
