Coronavirus Chronicles: Things I Do At Home

Organizing helps me to put things in order and it helps me to take control of my to do list. Usually I'm pretty organize but the hustle and bustle of life gets me off track. This pandemic has caused me to have more free time than I like to have. This is day three that I have been in the house.

I'm use to being busy and I want to keep up the momentum. I've been in my home looking around to see what needs to be done. This morning I decided to organize my shoes by seasons. I put the winter shoes in one bin and the summer shoes in the other. I bought 2 large clear bins from Walmart with lids to make my organizing easier.

Learning something new is the second thing I’ve been doing st home during this social separation. I've been interested in the cooking network channel. I like watching the different competitions from the cooks and their presentation of their meals.I've learned that people can take the most simple dishes and make it looks expensive. My favorite cooking shows are Top Chef and Man Made Fire Food. Watching the food network is something different for me because I’m use to watching VH1 and BET. Watching other shows have gotten me out of my norm and it allowed me to use my other part of the brain to be creative.

Finally I’ve been staying connected with my school family via text and videos. I.am required to do distant learning, I get to instruct my students and interact with the parents, which is really cool. I’m happy that students have the opportunity to still learn.

Below is a video of me talking about my shoe collection and what I wear with my shoes. I felt the need to share with my social media family because we must keep one another uplifted and focus with this pandemic at hand

I encourage you all to stay upbeat, pray, continue to look up and set goals. Drop down In the comment section and tell me what you are doing with your extra time at home
