Hi guys, have you ever thought how bloggers make their money or why they decide to blog in the first place? I have several reasons why I decided to start blogging for one I love keeping journals and writing, for me writing is therapeutic and I like going back through my journals to see the progress I’m making. The second reason I started blogging is that I want others to come along on my journey and I want to reach others that have similar views and challenges as me. As time went on and I began to join different blogging groups, I learned that different bloggers’ site were monetized and that sparked my interest in wanting to get my blog monetized as well. I said to myself, “ April why not get paid for something you enjoy doing”. As of now I’m using a program called Google Adsense which I will go into more details in a few. I’m currently working on getting sponsers and doing sponsor post on my site. There are tons of affiliate programs for bloggers to make money and to attract new followers. Amazon Prime has a pantry program. This is great for food bloggers. The commission is 5% of every sale you make.

You get paid when visitors click on your ads. Google Adsense pays out monthly by direct deposit when you reach the required threshold of $100.
After you got your blog website up and running and you've gained significant amount of followers on your social media platforms i.e. Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest and you want to begin monetizing your blog you should create a media kit to attract sponsors and other people you want to collaborate with.
