Ways To Make Money Blogging

Hi guys, have you ever thought how bloggers make their money or why they decide to blog in the first place? I have several reasons why I decided to start blogging for one I love keeping journals and writing, for me writing is therapeutic and I like going back through my journals to see the progress I’m making. The second reason I started blogging is that I want others to come along on my journey and I want to reach others that have similar views and challenges as me. The third reason I started blogging was because I wanted to have something I can call my own that I created. Anybody who owns their own business, wrote a book or started their own podcast or YouTube channel knows what I’m talking about. We feel accomplished by creating our own thing. Initially, I did not start my blog to make money. I just wanted to share my life with others. As time went on and I began to join different blogging groups, I learned that different bloggers’ site were monetized and that sparked my interest in wanting to get my blog monetized as well. I said to myself, “ April why not get paid for something you enjoy doing”. As of now I’m using a program called Google Adsense which I will go into more details in a few. I’m currently working on getting sponsers and doing sponsor post on my site. If you're looking to start your blog and you need a kick start on what you should do here are some tips to get you started:

There are tons of affiliate programs for bloggers to make money and to attract new followers. Amazon Prime has a pantry program. This is great for food bloggers. The commission is 5% of every sale you make.

Quick books is a small business bookkeeping software. Commission is 7% per sale or $5.00 per sale.

Adobe Creative Cloud is 85% on user's first monthly payment or 8.33% per sale on yearly subscription.

Other affiliate programs are Ultimate Bundles, WP engines, Amazon, $5.00 Meal Plan, and Rakuten just to name a few.

Let"s get into Google Adsense. Google Adsense is used by many bloggers and youtubers. Running ads on your website is one of the quickest and easiest way to make money on your platform. You get paid when visitors click on your ads. Google Adsense pays out monthly by direct deposit when you reach the required threshold of $100.

After you got your blog website up and running and you've gained significant amount of followers on your social media platforms i.e. Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest and you want to begin monetizing your blog you should create a media kit to attract sponsors and other people you want to collaborate with. Your media kit should include:

  • Your Name

  • Contact Information

  • Website Name and URL

  • Social Stats

  • Monthly Page Views on Your Website

  • A Little About Your Audience

  • Information About What You Have To Order

Ways To Gain Sponsers:

  • Set Up A Sponsor Page and Media Kit On Your Site

  • Create Quality Content That Attract Sponsors

  • Find Brands You Want To Work With and Pitch A Sponsor Post To Them

  • Look At Your Competition To See Who Sponsor Them.

  • Email Organizations and Businesses And Ask Them If They Will Like To Sponsor Your Site

  • Contact The Sponsors Directly To See If They Might Like To Purchase Banners Or Test Link Campaigns On Your Site

  • Make A Thank The Sponsors Blog Post Once A Month To Send Additional Traffic And Links To Your Advertisers Is A Good Practice.

Guys, I hope these strategies were helpful if you want to begin blogging. Why not get paid for something you enjoy doing. Before you log off please read my other stories on this site. Thanks for stopping by. 😊
