7 Great Tips To Know Before Starting A Business.

Hi, speaking from personal experience owning a business is one of the best feelings and accomplishment that a person can ever have. Each day that I wake up I feel driven and proud. I started my blogging business on January 3, 2020 and I became a health and wellness coach for Total Life Changes in August 2020.

E ach and every day that God spares my life, I hit the pavement running. Throughout my business journey I’m acquiring a wealth of knowledge, I’m networking with like minded people and I’m pushing through barriers that I thought was difficult. I am rooting for anyone that is inspiring to become their own business owner, but before you take that leap you should have goals in place to help you become successful in your endeavors, which brings me to this topic. I will be sharing 7 great tips you should know before starting your own business they are:

1.Know Your Why- Focus on your customers and the reason you started your business in the first place and not on your own personal gains. You should know the need of your target audience, and ways you can solve their problems. Your clients or customers should remain at the focal point of your business.

2. Start Small Break Up Your Overall Vision Into Goals- Rome was not built overnight. Pace yourself , write down and try to achieve realistic goals. I have a habit of planning ahead and jotting down my goals in my calendar the day or the night before so my day can be more structured and that I won’t forget about my important tasks. Planning ahead allows you time to be more successful and to be more prepared to overcome any obstacles.

3. Know Your Strengths and Skills - You should know what you can do by yourself and the things you can’t do. Get a mentor or advisor to help you with things you need help with. Speaking from personal experiences it's great to surround yourself with positive and successful business owners that can share helpful information that will be beneficial to you and your business. Also you want to learn all you can about the business world such as: marketing, advertising,sales, etc.

4.Write A Business Plan- A business plan keeps you on track. You're business plan should consist of:

  • A Summary- What are you expecting to accomplish in your business?

  • Products and Services- What are you planning to offer your clients or customers?

  • Marketing Plan- How are you going to reach and retain customers for your business?

  • Operation Plan- How are you going to run your business? Do you need staff, a building, storage and how are you going get the products to your customers ?

5. Intellectual Property Or Other Assets- What does your business or company has ownership of?

6. Financial Plan- A list of the cost of everything and your plan on how you will cover the cost.

7.Personnel Plan- What plans do you have in place for hiring and finding the right fit for your company or business?
