Hi yall, what are your thoughts on the 46th Presidential Inauguration Celebration ? I think it was amazing. I loved everything about the event from the fashion, the president's address, the love, the support, and the performances. This presidential Inauguration was meaningful for me because I want to see peace and justice, and I feel that we were in a dark place as a country for a long time and now it's time for happiness. I pray with these newly elected officials we will be able to heal and grow as a nation. I will like to recap my favorite highlights of the event and why I think that this event will have people talking for a while.
Vice President Kamala Harris was sworn in at 11:42 a.m. She used two bibles during the oath which was administered by Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor.
President Joe Biden was sworn into office at 11:48 a.m. The oath was administered by Chief John Roberts on an 100 year old family bible held by his wife Jill Biden.
President Joe Biden delivered the Inauguration address, he stated, “ I am President for all Americans including those who did not support my campaign”
Lady Gaga performed the National Anthem.
Jennifer Lopez sang, “ This Land is Your Land” and “ America The Beautiful”
Garth Brooks performed “ Amazing Grace”
President Joe Biden signed the first documents:
Inauguration Day Proclamation
Nominations to Cabinet Positions
Nominations to Sub Cabinet Positions
President and Vice President, Biden and Harris went to Capitol to Arlington National Cementary for a wreath laying ceremony with former presidents: Obama, George W. Bush, and Bill Clinton.
At 4.pm. President Biden and First Lady Jill Biden entered into the White House for the first time as the 46th Commander In Chief.
Let's talk about my favorite part the fashions…
Former First Lady Michelle Obama rocked plum and purple from head to toe. She completed the look with a black face mask one of Sergio Hudson's signature handmade leather belt fastened with a circular brass buckle.
Vice President Kamala Harris sported all purple, pearls and black leather gloves.
For the evening festivities, Vice President Kamala Harris wore a liquid sequin cocktail dress with a floor length silk tuxedo overcoat made by designer, Sergio Hudson.
Designer Sergio Hudson grew up in Ridgewy, South Carolina. ( Shout out to South Carolina). He attended design school at Bauder College in Atlanta. He stated, “ I grew up worshipping Alai, Versace, and Thierry Mugler”.
I celebrated the 46th Inauguration Day by rocking my chucks and pearls in support of Kamala Harris the first woman vice president. My timeline was flooded with women from all over United States rocking their chucks and pearls. This made me felt empowered as a woman and I'm glad to be a part of an amazing movement.
These were a few things I highlighted from this amazing star studded 46th Inauguration. I hope that you all enjoyed it and got something fun and positive out of it. Let’s look up guys and be the shining light that our world needs. Thank you so much for stopping by.
