Avril's First Day Trip To Riverbank Zoo
This is Father's Day Weekend, so I thought this will be a perfect time to take my 3 year old daughter to Riverbank Zoo in Columbia, South Carolina. She has never been and she’s always talking about animals, watching different youtube videos and she knows most of the animal sounds. I like to give her real life experiences and I like to see how she interacts. I’m building a portfolio of her different experiences as a keepsake and to show her over the course of time.
Avril and I enjoyed a nice Merry Go Round ride, she was waving to her dad on the side as she was trying to stand up. She was really excited and she enjoyed every second of the ride .
Here go another ride, she could not resist the train ride, this time my husband joined us. There were other families on the train ride which made it more exciting. The thing I like most about the train ride is the wooded scenery and a quick relaxation from all the walking.
We stopped by to see the rhinosaurus as they were eating.
My husband and Avril is taking a look inside the farm houses. I didn't see any of the animals from my view maybe they were asleep or trying to stay cool.
This was our last stop for the day. Avril was interested in seeing the sea lions. It reminded me of an aquarium, the visitors can get an up close look at the creatures. Avril loves looking at water animals so this was her second best attraction with the rides being her first best attraction.
All in all Avril's first day trip to Riverbank Zoo was amazing, it was worth the time and money spent. Riverbank Zoo offers alot of great attractions, also you can eat and shop for souvenirs, plan a field trip and plan a birthday party. There were a few things that we didn't get a chance to do, but that will give us a reason to go back. I recommend Riverbank Zoo if you live in the surrounding area or if you're visiting South Carolina.
