  • Speaking positive affirmations over your life, setting yourself up to win, helping someone else, and doing something daily that gets you out of your comfort zone will help build your confidence. I’ve tried all of the above and it has put me in a situation to strive for bigger things and to receive more out of my life.

Speaking positive affirmations over your life is is saying what you believe about yourself and what you want to see manifest. The power of the tongue is real, you will have what you say and you will believe what you think about yourself. Examples of Self affirmations are: “I'm a winner,I can do this, I'm brave, and I"m confident.” If you haven't already start canceling negative thoughts and self hate talk and replace your thoughts by saying positive things . Sometimes I say positive affirmations several times throughout the day and especially when I'm not feeling my best.

Set yourself up to win. I work on things that I'm good at. I pull from prior experiences and knowledge that has worked for me. I try to stay away from drama and troublemakers. It's not always the haters that keeps you down it's your besties that you are comfortable with who doesn't motivate you. Your haters are really your motivators, they keep you ten toes down. My advice is stop folding because your so called haters are talking about you. Change your surroundings by involving yourself with people that are like minded.

Help others if your're in a position to. It is a known fact that if you help someone else and if your operating in kindness, you will receive the same thing in return. When you help someone else you begin to feel better about yourself. There were plenty of times that I was in a sour mood at work but when I push my feelings aside and begin to help one of my students or a coworker, I start to feel better, and I start to come out of my funk. It's like helping someone gives you instant gratification.

Do something that will get you out of your comfort zone. People who really know me know that I don't like public speaking. Since I started blogging/vlogging I've been stretched out of my comfort zone in many ways. My Facebook page settings were private prior to me becoming a blogger. I didn’t like the idea of my page being public because I"m a private person. I had to become more open minded because I wanted my blog to take off. Also, I didn't like public speaking and doing interviews, now I enjoy making videos and I love posting them on my social media. I went from posting on Facebook from twice a month to doing videos daily. This is definitely a stretch for me. I’ve went to being a private person to becoming transparent.

Doing videos on a daily basis puts me in a position to be criticized and rejected, which can sometimes can be is annoying but I’ve accepted the risk to get to where I want to be.

How are you pushing yourself foward to get what you want. The enemy or your haters are not going to roll out a red carpet. You have to push past the pressure, dig in, apply yourself, and speak positive affirmation over your life.

I hope all is well within your journey. Step out use your confidence to create the change in your environment and be the star that you was born to be. Please subscribe to my blog. Follow me on Instagram and Twitter Bloggingwithapril
