Four Inexpensive Ways To Be A Service… January 17, 2021 Bloggingwithapril Hello, before I share with you four inexpensive ways you can serve others and man kind I will like to clear up this big misconception that I believed for years that you have to be filthy rich to give back and that is far from the truth. You can give your time, your generosity, you can lend a helping hand, you can offer encouragement and so forth with what you have. I feel in order to have value and to feel good about yourself you should give to others. I will share with you four ways you can give back in your own way without putting a dent in your bank account. Donate: You can donate to a nonprofit organization that is dear to you and the cause that you support. Non profit organizations survive off of our donations and support. The non profit organization that I support is St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. This hospital specializes in treating and finding a cure for children that has cancer and other life threatening diseases. The donations they receive helps the families expenses for the cost of treatment, travel, housing and food. 2. Donate Your Products - If you have a business or if you're an consultant for your favorite product you can donate your product to someone who is in need. You can leverage your product or service by partnering with other businesses. For example you can give away samples to the first 50 people who visit your website or who is receiving services from your partner's business. You will be giving back and at the same time you're creating buzz for your business. 3. Mentor - Mentoring others in your field or persons who is inspiring to work in your field is a great way of giving back. You can host a zoom meeting discussing the good, the bad, and the ugly in your line of work, you can also give personal advice and offer words of encouragement. 4. Make Service A Mission Within Your Business- If you are a business owner incorporate a monthly service act. For example, each month require your staff to donate any old clothing or shoes to a local salvation army, give to a local church or to a non-profit organization, and offer a service for free it can be something small as teaching a new skill to potential clients. If you do not have your own business charge yourself each month to offer knowledge to someone in your family or community. Teach a new skill that you learn recently, help someone become more organize, or offer a nice meal. Offering services does not have to be hard. I just gave you four simple ways to give back, again you do not have to be filthy rich or break the bank to serve others and give back. Use the resources you have already.
