Ways To Keep Yourself Refreshed When Working Full Time

Working a full time job takes up a lot of time and energy. I'm half way to retiring and I'm determined to reach my retirement physically and mentally healthy. When that day comes I want to travel more, relax and do most of the things that I wasn't able to do while working full time. If you're like me and you're planning to live a long fruitful life and enjoy your senior years I’ve come up with 6 helpful tips to keep you refreshed when working full time.

  1. Take Time Out For You… Treat yourself/ Indulge In Selfcare. Engage in a health and wellness activity that will increase your lifespan and help improve your mood. Take up a dance class or get an accountability partner you can exercise and workout with. Partake in an activity that will keep you motivated and sociable with like minded people

2. Take Time Off Of Work.

Take A mental health day when you begin to feel burn and stressed out. Taking time off has been proven to relieve stress, increase productivity and focus. Taking a break from your job allows you to appreciate and love your job again.

3. Practice Time Management

Do your most challenging and important work first thing in the morning when your brain functions the highest. I also do this on the weekends, I do my chores first , afterwards I work on my business related stuff and other things I really enjoy doing.

4. Take A Break every 45 Minutes While Working

While working, get up and stretch, take a water break, go outside if the weather permits, chat with someone or listen to some music. Taking breaks can help you to recharge.

5. Maximize On Your Time Off

When you leave work, leave work, use that time off to do the things you like doing, engage with your family, friends etc.

6. Eat Well Balanced/Healthy Diets

Eat foods that give you fuel and helps with your concentration and your mood. Foods that are great for your body are: almonds, fruits, and vegetables. Smoothies give you protein and energy. Smoothies are loaded with vitamins.

Hopefully these tips were helpful. Working full time with a family and other responsibilities can be challenging at times. Let's stay in tuned with our bodies and health with treating ourselves with some self care.
