Reopening Local Businesses: I’m Neutral And This Is Why…

People have to pay their mortgage so they can have somewhere to live. Homelessness is an issue in South Carolina. We barely have adequate homeless shelters so there is no need to add more fuel to the fire. A home is where the heart is, where memories are made, and it's a safe haven.

According to Kayland Hagwood, an article I read on WLTX, SC pausing on evictions, forecloses to end Friday. “ As the state continues to reopen and people return to work, some may now face the possibility of eviction”

Personally I don't want to see anyone lose their home especially if they have small children. Children go through enough as it is and the last thing they need to worry about is not having a home.

We need food to stay healthy and for energy. Without food we could not work and function like we should. It takes money to purchase food. Everyone does not qualify for SNAP benefits to purchase food items. Therefore those individuals who do not qualify for SNAP benefits need money to buy their food to feed themselves and their family.

Everyone does not have the option to continue to work from home. Needless to say whether we want to or not we have to physically go back to our jobs to sustain our livelihood.

I want to add this : physically going back to work is not a dreading experience for some people because they love what they do or they make a good income. If it wasn’t for Covid-19 we would of been physically going to our jobs anyhow. But if your're not happy in your current job situation, I advise you to find a job that you are good at doing and that makes you happy. It's not too late.

We all need money for personal use, shopping, upgrading, enjoyment, helping others, and in case of an emergency. Its always good to have money for any circumstance.

Reopening allows local businesses to pay their employees so they can support themselves and their families. COVID-19 has cause a financial strain on some businesses. These businesses can’t survive if they're closed for a long period of time. The whole purpose of one starting a business is to be financially free and not to struggle. I’m also concerned about the lives of the employees of small businesses. If reopening will bring everything back to an even playing field I’m here for it.

My opinion is how can you enjoy life if your struggling, worrying about paying your mortgage, and always thinking about how you going to eat and take care of yourself and your family. John 10:10 states, “ The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life and have it more abundantly.”
